Color Me Crayon

Color me Crayon

Meandering lines and playful times
Paint me living outside my lines.
Carelessly sketching within colored signs
Pastels creating me yellow and green
I’m lucid today and tomorrow sublime.

Color me with rainbows and my own pot of gold.
And color all my friends with the faint ones you hold.
Draw me a melancholy with colors unsure.
Make me with colors that make me your cure.

Embrace all my colored boundaries, and take all my lines
Color me a funny blue, please make me a rhyme.
Draw me with happy crayons like those in your mind,
Coloring me in my Army green with those marking time.

Color me holding my mommas hand,
Color me fishing with my pa-pa’s band.
Color my memories but leave room for more,
Cause I got more crayons and more pictures to draw.

Those songs sound so pretty with each color we use
And the friendships remembered all seem to amuse.
I like all the colors yet I like yours best
They seem to make me stand out more,
They seem to make my weary heart blest.

Don’t forget my shoes and color them too!
Cause they seem to go everywhere that I do.
Remember my shoe strings and forget not my tie,
Color my answers to your questions like why.
Forget not to color my soon yet to come,
When remembering to color us all just like one.
